NWF Raffle for Charity

Dear NWF competitors,
You may or may not be aware but Forces Windsurfing are to undertake a windsurfing challenge for Help for Heroes Charity.
We are due to circumnavigate The Isle of Wight in September.
But in order to raise the profile of the event and more to the point raise money for the charity, it is my intention to conduct a raffle at the NWF. So Competitors please donate a raffle prize.

The Forces Windsurfing Challenge
Windsurfing teams from The Army, Royal Navy and RAF are planning an attempt to circumnavigate the Isle of Wight both as individuals and as relay teams. The attempt will be undertaken during the period 13-19 September with the aim of raising funds for the following charities; Help for Heroes, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity and the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Tide forecast for NWF

You don’t get much better than this…..The Hayling tide table for the NWF weekend is as follows: Sat 4 Sept HW 0815hrs 4.3m and LW 1337hrs Sun 5th Sept HW 0933hrs 4.3m and LW 1448hrs. Which is excellent for mass participation for master blasters especially the intermediate sailor.

Forces Windsurfing Challenge (FWC)

Have you heard about The Forces Windsurfing Challenge 2010? Well, in summary the forces windsurfing team are going to sail the Isle of Wight in aid to help for heroes charity more information can be found online at why not show your support and make a small donation to this excellent cause……….

7 weeks and counting………

‎7 weeks to push until we once again deliver the biggest windsurfing event in the country. Many of the entries have already been sold, so don’t loose out, few rash vests left so get in their quick.

Free-ride community

Wonder who will be the lucky free-ride sailors chosen for the Pro Tag Team at this years NWF? With the chance of winning an ION wetsuit kindly donated by Nik Baker…….. And of course there is donating a free holiday to a lucky couple from the free-ride category…… Yes thats right, this is the windsurfing event of the year designed especially for our free-ride community.

SUP’s at the ready…….

For all those NWF fans who own a SUP, make suer you bring them along as you will have a few opportunities to cruise, join the clinics or compete at this years NWF. With the added opportunity for those wannabe’s to try their hand!

This Festival is designed for?

This event is designed for the free-ride sailor a non intimidating arena, with no complicated rules, just 100% FUN! If you can sail in a straight line from the beach and turn a board round and back to the beach then this is the event for you. Turning those normal spectators into first time competitors. Hundreds of prizes donated by the windsurfing industry for all categories. Check out the website for more information.

Thats right, theres been an overwhelming uptake of interest and subsequent entries to this years NWF. Just a gentle reminder we wont be going over our 350 entires so best get your entry in soon, otherwise risk the possibility of disappointment.
