Jack Trollope will be supporting NWF Junior 3-4 May 2014 at Stithians Lake

When I was asked to attend the junior NWF I jumped at the chance.

Last week I was asked to come to this great event by one of my sponsors, RRD. Regardless of what was in the diary already I had to be there! The NWF is the highlight of my year but with such huge attendance focussing on the development of juniors is always going to be a struggle. When I heard about the Junior NWF I thought it was fantastic, something that I wish had been available to me when I was getting into windsurfing.

I started windsurfing at the age of 10 at my local beach, Mersea Island. For five years I attended Team 15 at a local lake but when sailing at home I was the youngest by about twenty years. As I got better other youngsters started to notice this sport and wanted to give it a go. Today there are over a dozen competent junior windsurfers that sail with me at home. If this could happen at every beach it would take our amazing sport to new levels and I can’t imagine a better place to start than the Junior NWF.

See you there
